SMS Messaging Terms & Opt-In
How members of our community consent to receive text messages from ISKCON Canton, what we send, how often, and how to stop at any time.

1 Who sends these messages
Text messages are sent by ISKCON Canton, whose programs run at IGGF · 44815 Cherry Hill Rd, Canton, MI — a seva project of ISKCON Michigan Inc., through the BhaktiSanga app. We send messages only to people who have given us their mobile number and expressly agreed to receive texts. We never buy, rent, share, or scrape phone numbers, and we never send messages to a number that has not opted in.
2 How members opt in
Consent always requires a deliberate action by the member:
- In the app — when a member creates an account at bhaktisanga.app, they may tick a separate, unticked box reading “Text me class reminders and schedule updates from ISKCON Canton.” Accounts can be created without it, and reminders are simply not sent.
- By texting us — a person who texts HERE or START to +1 855 408 7111 asks to be checked in or resubscribed; that message is the consent.
The checkbox is never pre-ticked and providing a mobile number is optional.
3 What we send, and how often
Members who opt in may receive:
- Class reminders — a single message on the morning of a class they are enrolled in
- Event reminders — at most two messages for a festival or special event: the day before and the morning of
- Check-in confirmations — a reply when a member texts HERE on arrival
- Sign-in codes — a one-time passcode when signing in to the app by phone
Message frequency: typically one to three messages per week, and fewer outside the program season. Message and data rates may apply.

4 How to stop, or get help
Reply to any message from us with one of these words:

| STOP | You are unsubscribed immediately and we send nothing further. STOPALL and UNSUBSCRIBE work the same way. |
| HELP | You receive our contact details and a reminder of how to opt out. INFO works the same way. |
| START | Resubscribes you if you previously opted out. |
| HERE | Checks you in when you arrive at a class or event you're enrolled in. |
You can also change text, email and push preferences any time in the app under Notifications, or email admin@bhaktisanga.org.
5 Privacy
Mobile numbers are used only for the messages described above. We do not sell or share them, and opting out of texts never affects your membership.
